Theme
I think that the main theme of this book is to not judge someone by appearences because Princess Emma had to learn to trust the frog, Eadric even though she didnt know whether he was telling the truth about being a cursed frog or not. But, little by little, she fell in love with him. and she didn't fall in love with his looks, money or that he was a prince. She fell in love with his personality. She had to look past everything elseand focus on what was on the inside. I also think that that was what the author was trying to tell her audiences. That true love only matters on what is inside and not outside.
The books theme is similar to the book, Beastly. in Beastly, Kyle Kingsbury gets turned from his selfish, and materialistic self into a beast. He has 2 years to find true love, or else he stays looking like a hairy beast forever. He needs to find a girl who loves him for what is on the inside. He needs this girl to not care about his beastly looks. These books are alike because they both do find true loves in the end who could care less about appearence. They are different because in The Frog Princess, Emma doesn't have to find true love. She did it willingly. But in Beastly, Kyle has no choice but to get a woman to love him for who he really is.
